Fun little side project this week. Somebody in a local group chat mentioned the upcoming Hairfoot Jousting game coming out sometime in May. That reminded me of this cool little “cavalry” model I had primed and ready to paint: the amazing Gnome Greenskeeper, sculpted by Tom Mason. Tom is a really cool dude. I’ve been a fan of his sculpts since the Mercs days. He has been a big inspiration, and ressource, for my own sculpting with his tutorial video channel and online sculpting hangouts.
Back to the gnomes at hand. I painted a couple gnomes for Tom during his Kickstarter project, as previews. You can see them in the featured photo at the top. I still had a bunch more to paint, received after his successful campaign, including the Greenskeeper, that I had already prepared a while back. This little mounted fellow will be perfect to lead my jousters, or any other whimsical projects I get into. He was a blast to paint: bright colours fit so well on them, and the piglet offers a nice change in the palette.
